The shortlisting process has been completed. The selection workshop for the IGSDHD candidates for the entry year 2013 in Cologne will be held on 25 and 26 of June 2013.

All candidates who were shortlisted have received invitations to the workshop. 

All candidates and PIs are invited to the social dinner on Wednesday, 26. June, at 7 pm. Detailed schedule for both days of the workshop including the schedule of the interviews will be sent to the invited students via email.

It is our pleasure to invite you to the first CEWIS International Symposium in Cologne, to be held on

Thursday, July 18^th and Friday, July 19^th 2013.

The mission of CEWIS is to spotlight extraordinary women in biological sciences. CEWIS also aims to demonstrate how exciting and rewarding a career in biological sciences can be and to encourage young researchers to pursue such a career for themselves.

We are proud to announce that the Symposium will feature talks by outstanding female scientists from all over the world, including Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard (Nobel Prize 1995) and Ulla Bonas (Leibniz Prize 2011).

In addition, we encourage both male and female graduate students and junior post docs, to present their own work.  Presentations may be made orally, by poster or by a combination of the two and there will be prizes for the best. Please could anyone wishing to present send an abstract to us by 15^th of June, 2013.
